Soccer in July

In the Silver Valley we play soccer in July. The first game of the evening is unbearably hot and then for the second game you need a blanket or something because the sun goes behind the mountain.

Garret usually plays goalie for part of the game. Here is Garret kicking the ball away from the goal. Then when the action at his end of the field slows down, he likes to just "hang" out. Caitlin hasn't started playing soccer yet because her mother thinks it looks like glorified babysitting at her age. So she spends her time collecting grasshoppers. This night she came home with 21! She was even naming them. I think they started chewing through the screen (well something did) and we had to let them go.

Andee enjoys playing soccer and can be a pretty aggressive player. Especially when she is a defender.

She collide head on with this girl and proved that she really does have a hard head. Only her glasses needed a little adjusting...

...then she was back up and ready to go.
Briann came out for the last game at Andee's request and brought along her frisbie. She is now an avid ultimate frisbie player. She was showing us some of her unique throws.

When she stopped texting for a minute she could even catch one.

Ethan joined in with Briann, but, he knew I had the camera and he was posing for me.
Okay he finally quit posing and I caught him in action.
