May 14th and 15th was the district track meet. Day one Ethan competed in the long jump. His coach is behind him in the purple. Can you tell he thinks this is a good jump? He went 20'9, a PR, which was good for first place.
Garret competed in his only event that day and placed 3rd, which was good enough to qualify him for state. He high jumped 5'8.
On day 2, Ethan had finals in the 400 and the 200. First came the 400, this was only the 2nd time he ran the open 4 this year. He came in second.
In the 200 he crossed the line in first place with a PR of 22.86. He also ran in the medley relay, they ran a good enough time to qualify for state, but were DQ'd because their last runner spiked the baton. So Ethan qualified in 3 events. Guess we will all be headed to Boise next week.
