He placed 8th at State.
When the day started it was about 50 degrees.
That was good enough for 3rd place.
His final jump was 20' 11 & 3/4 ". Sooo close.
That was good enough for 3rd place.
It had been raining for a while and Ethan said it was cold even with your sweats on.
But the race must go on.
Ethan was excited to have lane three. He loves to chase down the competition.
As they came out of the final corner, Ethan shot into first.
Ethan never gave up his lead.
Being from North Idaho, and being used to crazy track weather, might have given him an edge.
Or it might have been, the shaving of the legs that gave him the edge.

I am SOOOOOO jealous that your family is so athletic. I am so uncoordinated I seriously trip walking up the stairs. No Joke. Way to STATE CHAMPION. I bet he as thrilled. I also love the blessing pictures. I am glad that they live close so you can kiss your grandbaby often. There is nothing like their sweet heavenly smell.
